Research Activities

A researcher

The main work in our lab is evolutionary ecological study. Specifically,
1. The coevolutionary arms race between the bronze-cuckoo and gerygone in Australia
3. Adaptive significance of delayed plumage maturation in the red-flanked bushrobin
4. Homosexual behaviour in captive penguins
5. The evolution of a mating system and roosting behaviour in flying fox
...etc.

Also we have the know-how to paternity analysis/sex-determination and molecular phylogeny by using DNA analytical methods.

Postdoctoral Fellow is now researching about assessing the role of hornbills as seed dispersers in degraded forests of Southern Thailand that is under the Thailand Hornbill Project, entitled "Assessment of the effect of hornbill loss in the seed dispersal process in tropical forests: comparison of the fruit removal, seed predation, and seedling dynamics of hornbill-dispersed plants between intact forests and degraded forests".

In addition to that, we have an interest in relation between ultraviolet and birds recently (i.e., fruits color signal/ultraviolet reflection of avian feathers). If you are interested in our researches or have any questions, please contact us or access "MEMBERS" in the above menu and you can probably get more information.
