Materials Design

In the field of language teaching, few things interest me quite like materials design does. Good materials teach linguistic

goals and stimulate the student's interest in the target language and its acquisition. They also make classes more

enjoyable. I will likely become involved in producing software and computer system video tutorials for university staff as

well.

Testing and Item Writing

Standardized tests like the TOEIC and TOEFL are impressive works that can greatly influence my students' lives. I intend

to work with students to write original items and tests (some for the new online instructional system), administer them to

other students, analyze the results, and rewrite underperforming items. However, I first need to hone my blunt statistical

skills.

A list of publications that I will try to keep up-to-date. Those publications unrelated to teaching English are ruefully few

in number.
