教育理念：

　限られた研究費や小研究グループのために、いかに効率よく世界にアピール出来るかを心がけてきた。最近は、他大学との共同研究を積極的に行っている。

　学部教育１ー３年では、必修科目の有機化学を始め選択科目の基礎化学ゼミナール・有機化合物同定法・生体関連化合物の化学等の講義を行ってきたが、憶えることよりも考える点に主眼をおいてきた。また、勉学以外に課外活動も推奨し、勉学との両立をさせるように心がけてきた。４年の卒業研究では、上記研究分野に記した内容の研究テーマを与え、研究を通して未知の世界の探求を行うことに力点をおいてきた。成果がでた学生諸君には、学会で口頭発表の機会を与え、研究への取り組みかたを指導している。

　大学院生には、学会で出来るだけ多くの発表の機会を与え、討論の場に慣れさせる。また研究成果がでることによって院生に自信をもたせ、社会に送り出してきた。
