Dr. Ishiguro studies human development and learning process, focusing on children from infancy to school age, from a sociocultural-historical approach in psychology. He conducts ethnographic research by continuously observing the daily life practices of people living in diverse ecological environments such as homes, preschools, schools, and institutions for the disabled, using audiovisual data analysis, interaction analysis, discourse analysis, and other mixed methods. He also takes art-based intervention research (ABR) to support people's development in Japan and abroad.
